CPL (H) is your way to professional flying as a helicopter pilot.

Want to fly as a professional pilot? This course entitles you to fly on multi-seat helicopters in commercial air transport.

Requirements for the student

  • A valid class I medical certificate
  • Minimum age of 18
  • A valid radiotelephone license
  • An applicant for a CPL (H) modular course shall have a valid PPL (H), have flown 155 hours of flight time as a helicopter pilot, including 50 hours as pilot-in-command, of which 10 hours shall be cross country navigations involving a cross country navigation of not less than 185 km (100 NM) during which full stop landings must be carried out at two airports other than 10 hours of instrumentation and 5 hours at night.

Course of the training

Theoretical part

It is set at 200 hours, or it can be part of a theoretical ATPL (H) course of 650 hours. For IR (H) qualification holders, the ATPL (H) theoretical training is shortened to 450 hours.

Practical part

35 hours including 5 hours of night training are prescribed to obtain a CPL (H) pilot license. Training takes place on Robinson R22 helicopter.

For IR holders, 15 hours are required, of which 10 hours are on the Robinson R22.

We fly all year round, our helicopters are heated.

Completing the course and obtaining a license

Theoretical examinations consist of a test at the Civil Aviation Authority and may be taken during practical training.

The practical part can be performed by the student only after passing the theoretical exams. Before the skill test, the pupil must have completed at least 200 hours, of which 100 hours as a pilot-in-command, including 20 hours as a pilot-in-command and he/she must be a holder of NIGHT qualification for night flights.

The practical part is reviewed by the examiner of the Civil Aviation Authority. The exam consists of a piloting technique and a cross country navigation to a controlled airport.
